The Feature:
This week, I have such a great furniture find, I decided to feature myself. In addition, I've been super busy and have not had a lot of time to look around the blog world for some great furniture pieces. My mom and I found this table a few days ago at a Salvation Army in Richmond. It was marked $49, which was a little high for us. As we were admiring it, a sales representative mentioned that it was 50% off of green tagged items, plus an extra 10% if we took it home with us. Bottom line, we ended up getting the piece for $18! I'm going to paint the base of it and add some glass knobs, but I love it and had to share.
I love the patina on the cracked wood top. Paint will not touch this surface, I promise.
The base will be painted a white and antiqued to bring out the carving. I think the knobs look a little "south west." My mom wants me to keep them as is...what do you think? Glass or rings?
This rustic table also has an elegant quality in the claw and ball feet. What a great piece at a great price.The Giveaway:
