1000 Follower Giveaway
All of you helped me reach a special milestone for my little blog...1000 followers. To say thanks, I am offering a custom giveaway to one of you.
Is anyone else in love with antique grain sacks, but, like me, can't afford the real deal?
Picture from 3 Fine Grains
Well, I took matters into my own hands and painted my own. I was thrilled with the result and can't wait to make more.
The giveaway is for a hand painted "antique grain sack" custom made just for the winner. You can show me a picture of one you would like me to use for inspiration or have me create one for you using a significant name, date, and place. It can be as simple or complicated as you want, I just have to be able to see and read the inspiration feed sack clearly. The paint can also be in any color(s) you choose. The fabric I use is a natural cotton fabric with a nubby texture and is machine washable, even after being painted. I'll leave the fabric edges raw for you to frame, make a pillow, or even upholster a chair.

DecoArt Winners
Now, on to the winners of the Workshop Series: Decorative Painting 101 link party. Confession time...I said the winners would be chosen randomly, but after looking at the entries, I had to take matters into my own hands. I picked three people who I believe will really enjoy the acrylic paint set provided by DecoArt. And the winners are...drum roll, please...
Kolein from Kitchen Table Productions. Check out how artistic she looks and the great comma strokes on her tea stained book marks!
Ginger from Cottage on Rosewood and her hand painted bingo board. I love the colors and distressed finish on this piece. Great work!
...and Stephie from Made by Stephie and her adorable nursery mural. This is a great example that beautiful murals do not have to be complicated and fussy. I was very impressed.
Nicely done, girls! I can't wait to see how you use your new Americana acrylic paints by DecoArt. Send me an e-mail with your address, so we can get these out to you.
The Furniture Feature Friday link party is open through midnight on Saturday, so don't forget to check it out or link up if you have anything to share. There's a great giveaway for the winner of that party as well. Now, make sure you leave your comments to enter the 1000 follower giveaway!
