Bloodlamp seems to be dead..

Came accross this lamp today I loved it ...

Its sad but the company which is sited to be the one that sells it no longer has in :(

I came accross it via this site

I think is a great idea and reminds me of the dripping table I'd blogged an age ago here

Enjoy.. More blogs coming soon

Some lovely nautical inspiration from Anthropologie

I'm in Alaska today preparing for my marathon - so I have to keep this one short! Enjoy these new goodies from Anthropologie!

Lama Collection - Loft Lamp.

This is the contemporary lamp called the loft by Lama ..

Lama is designed in the netherlands and the loft lamp is typical of the collection.

The pictured loft lamp look like a spider and would work well in any modern space, office or home.

Affordable, one (or few)- of- a- kind lighting, pillows, and dinnerware

I'm on the hunt for two small lamps for either side of my bed. After searching the usual suspects, I was left unimpressed, so I decided to look the hand-made way...Here are some of my favorites I now have to choose from...

From artist Yours Truly, (this is the artist's shop name, not me ;)
Awesome bottle lamps with bold and colorful lampshades. You can even chose the fabric you want for your shade!

oohhh...liquor. Love it!

From Cicada Home, I love these lamps and cushions, and the textiles are so pretty. I want a pair of the Michelle Engel Bencsko accent lamps! So pretty on or off!

From Red Sonja Designs, I love how the artist has used her photography and applied it to these beautiful lamps. Now I'm trying to pick which ones I'd pair up.
I think these two are my fav's.

Not, lamps, but I just had to share these! From nonfiction, invasive species dinnerware. I love these! Growing up the daughter of an environmental scientist, I'm well versed in invasive species, and they hold an unspecial place in my heart. So clever!

Surprising finds from Pottery Barn Kids-for kids at heart

The other day I received a Pottery Barn Kids catalog, I'm not sure how I got on their list, but I do like how they're starting to design in Pottery Barn, so I gave it a look through. I thought some of the stuff could be really nice for adults if used in the right way, and not too matchy-matchy and "themed" like the rooms in the catalog.

Cute flea market style chandalier, Ella chandelier, $129

With the right shade, a pair of these on each side of the couch could look great!
Elephant base, 59.99

I really love this bedding, and they have different color options. They're also cheaper than in the regular catalog. French rose bedding $14.00-129.00

Nice vintage style bed, the color is just right. I believe the largest size they have is a full though. Olivia bed $899 for a full.

If you're into bold and bright, this bedding is great, and it's on sale!
Callie bedding, full size duvet on sale for 44.99, and sham for 11.99.

I'll take the white one :) Color study task lamp $29-$35

Have a great relaxing weekend everyone!

New Stuff from Ikea

I've haven't been posting the cheapest design options out there recently, so I thought I'd do us all a favor and share some of my favorite new stuff from the master of cheap, Ikea.

Love the simple, clean design of this four poster bed, and since it's light, you can paint it any color or stain you'd like. I'd probably choose white...

Very cute little linen cabinet. Light enough to paint too!

Gorgeous iron bed.

Pretty spice jars keep them safe from light and moisture.

I like this lamp but I might replace the shade with a slightly wider and taller drum to proportion it a little better.

Beautiful Beach Decor

Next week I'll be at the beach, so I won't be posting for awhile. In my absence I leave you with the beautiful home decor goods from www.beachdwelling.com

I am so glad I found them, their furniture, accessories, and linens are so beautiful, with the airy feel of the ocean. They're still working on their first catalog, but you can register at the site and they'll send you the catalog when it's complete.

The online shop also carries beautiful vintage pieces, body products, and will soon be coming out with a sleepwear line. I especially love the pillow selection and delicate sea-creature inspired vases and candle holders.
