Living Divani Extra Wall Bed

This is one modern and contemporary bed, the Extra Wall Living Divani bed.

Italian designer furniture brand Living Divani are famed for the sleak modern lines and the Extra wall bed is a classic.

The dress photograph from above shows off just how well this modern bed works in a contemporary setting.

The second image shows off the elegant design. As with all Living Divani furniture this custom made bed can be made to fit your needs.

I'm soon to blog me top 5 beds of this year and this has to be one of them and might even take top spot. The massive PRO or even the CON with it is it would work in almost any bedroom. I think moutains views, lake veiws of city views from this bed.

I'm back from Europe - with a book giveaway!!

Hi everyone! I'm so excited to be able to post on a regular basis again! The trip was absolutely amazing and I promise to share pictures of my boyfriend and my 9 week journey - but first I have to do some photo organizing. I thought I'd welcome everyone back with a book giveaway, Mark Montano's "Big-Ass Book of Home Decor." You can see samples of the book in my review post from May. To enter the giveaway just leave a comment telling me your favorite place (city, country, etc.) you've ever traveled, and why if you wish. Or you can email me your favorite place. The giveaway will be closed next Tuesday at 12am EST. Good luck!

And now, to warm up a bit - I thought I'd just publish some good old Office Furniture-style eye-candy. It's great to be back!

Float bed from Max Longin

A very funky and contemporary bed called the float.

Design Max Longin only has this bed and a chair currently on his site and well worth checking out and keeping an eye out for future design.

The bed is suspended stainless by four steel cords which is what gives it the effect of floating.

Domino Short Bed From SMA

The Domino bed is a classic design, simple lines, simple shape but offers a feel of true Italian quality.

I love the red mixed in the a contemporary white as white bedroom giving the room a great focal feature.

The "short" part of the name refers to the fact the head board is 57.5cm high which I love.

Zero bed by Presotto

The zero bed from Presotto.

Typical Italian design, the zero bed from Presotto offers all the slick comporary feel for the modern home or flat.

The iconic round base of the bed will make a massive feature of any bedroom.

Similar to to poliform in its style but with a modern and comporary twist. Presotto also offer a range of chairs tables and more.

Floating Bed Dylan from Cattelan Italia

The Dylan bed gives the allusion that the base of the bed is floating above the ground.

You have to look close to find the hidden legs that support the frame and base of the bed.

The photo to the left doesn't show the legs as I think is just covered by the white cover and the angel of the photo. The technical information show the legs in around about the covers position.

The white leather frame works so well within a white room as picture giving a clean and very modern and contemporary bedroom.

Spring clearing! What are your plans for your house?

I don't like to say "spring cleaning," because it could scare some people. So lets call it "spring clearing"! The first days of spring are so wonderful because of the freshness it lends the air. We all open the windows and just feel the need to lighten up! Well, I suggest riding that motivated feeling and taking the opportunity to clear out your home to be as fresh as the air!

Over the next couple weeks I will be posting a clear up guide for each room of your home. First I thought I'd open it up by asking you what you'd like to accomplish in your home this spring. I look forward to hear your plans!!

Some inspiration to get you motivate :)

House tours from Domino

As part of my ongoing series of posts honoring our late friend Domino, I now bestow upon you some lovely house tours we all came to look forward to every month. *sigh* Enjoy.

Mary McDonald's "Tom Jones rock" inspired kitchen. I like the typography plates.

Kathryn Ireland's rustic style home. I love the humble bathroom, and the console in the kitchen with the dishes stowed underneath.

Actress Julianne Moore's stab at interior decorating. I like some of the choices she made - not all my style, but still pretty. I like the piece of drift wood on the radiator.

A rebuilt green home in New Orleans.

Domino style director Dara's lovely white bedroom.

I love Amanda Peet's down-to-earth, bohemian home. It's so ethereal and filled with interesting, meaningful objects. I also love that you can tell that she had a hand in it. She didn't just hire some designer to come in and make it look like a movie star's home.

Lovely bedrooms for lovely sleep

I'm sleepy today and have a headache that makes me feel like my molars are going to fall out. Looking out the window, I can't even see the Chelsea Piers right outside my building, due to the horrific blizzard outside. These pics remind me of the heaven that is my bed, waiting at home for me. Hopefully you are feeling better than me!
