Bright and Pretty Summer Bathrooms

Finally! It is getting nice and hot outside. I love hot weather - and I also love a nice cool shower after being outside in the heat and humidity. With so much time "freshening up" in the bathroom, I love mine to look bright and uplifting.

I adore this palette - a nice way to wake up.

I think that white in combination with bright pops of color is the ticket to a fresh summery bathroom.

Okay - so not particularly bright - but check out this shower!!! It's like your own private Mediterranean cave!

I can't wait to have a bathroom large enough to use real furniture in the bathroom.

shiny white tile and crisp blue stripes always says "clean" to me.

Back home to the city

I had a nice relaxing weekend at my parents farm this weekend, but now I am back home in NYC. I thought I'd ring in the week with some urban interiors to get me back in the swing of things. Do you prefer urban styles like these or more country interiors?

*love* the wide plank hardwood floors!

I like these tables mixed with the polish of the rest of the kitchen.

Gorgeous, light-filled interiors from photographer Emily Gilbert

I randomly found Emily Gilbert website while looking for photographer portfolios. It usually takes me awhile before I find one who I don't exit out of at first glance, but hers was worth clicking through!

Craving a little luxury lately? Me too. Let the interiors of Timothy Whealon make you feel a little better...

Love the blue painting with the red poppies. What a welcoming sight to come home to.

I would pay to be able to spend a weekend just reading books

Money may not buy happiness, but it can buy Southern exposures...

I wouldn't mind spending an evening in this tub

mmm...scrambled eggs

Love this brown table with the white chairs
